Our Story

Buono Beef at Home is the continuation of my family business that started in 1946 by my great grandfather, Michael Buono, Sr. He rented a butcher block in the corner of a slaughterhouse in South Philadelphia and sold it to local shops in the area. In the ‘60’s, my grandfather Michael Buono, Jr. took over and grew M. Buono Beef Co. by serving the top restaurants, hotels, and country clubs in the tri-state area.

I am a Senior at Penn State and I’m proudly continuing the home delivery arm of my grandfather’s business, which he still runs today at 80 years old. Each morning myself or other experienced butchers hand select high-quality meat specific to your order.

All orders are cut fresh daily, vacuumed packed, and prepared for home delivery. We will have weekly scheduled deliveries and have a goal of getting your order to you within a couple of days.
